Columbus Tower and the Transamerica Building

I took this photo while I was on a walkabout in San Francisco in the 1990’s. The light and shadows seemed just right and the juxstaposition of the two structures was very pleasing to me. Despite their huge difference in height, it wasn’t difficult to bring the tops of them level, visually for the camera. The copper-clad surface of the Columbus Tower gives it the signature green patina. I took a few minutes today to make this loose sketch. It was fun, but I clearly need more practice:)
